Top 10 rhodium stocks for 2010

Rhodium stocks

This isn’t an exhaustive list, but it’s my attempt to uncover the top 10 mining stocks with at least some exposure to rhodium (however small). Political turmoil in rhodium-rich countries such as South Africa as well as industrial uses in jewelry and the automotive industries make rhodium a volatile commodity.

We could see rhodium’s cost spike as economies around the world improve and inflation starts to rise. Here then is my list of the Top 10 rhodium stocks for 2010:

1) Stillwater Mining Company (NYSE:SWC), +115 percent YTD

2) Eastern Platinum Ltd. (TSE:ELR), +85.8 percent YTD

3) North American Palladium Ltd. (AMEX:PAL), +78 percent YTD

4) Rhodia (PINK:RHAYY), +67.7 percent YTD

5) Anooraq Resources Corporation (AMEX:ANO), +48.8 percent YTD

6) Premium Exploration, Inc. (CVE:PEM), +21.5 percent YTD

7) Impala Platinum Holdings Limited (PINK:IMPUY), +16.5 percent YTD

8) Anglo American PLC (PINK:AAUKY), +10.8 percent YTD

9) Jubilee Platinum PLC (LON:JLP), +3.5 percent YTD

10) Platinum Group Metals Limited (AMEX:PLG), +1.4 percent YTD
